The Just All Music (JAM) Committee is happy to bring back our first artist, the talented pianist Sangah Noona on Thursday, March 26 at 7:30 PM in the Lakeside Commons Encore Theater. Sangah Noona was born in Seoul, South Korea. Beginning her piano lessons at the age of five, she grew up with her piano as her best friend. She loved to practice, usually spending five to seven hours a day.
Sangah studied classical piano until she fell in love with the band Nirvana when she was 16. She then decided to learn non-classical music. At the crossroad, she decided to take a piano performance audition instead of a classical composition for college admission. She was accepted to Dongduk Women’s University and the Seoul Institute of the Arts and graduated in 2005.
Before moving to the United States in 2010, her musical career flourished in South Korea. Sangah was a resident pianist at the Salamander Resort in Middleburg, VA, in 2014. Currently, Sangah is a guest pianist at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons, VA. Her Broadway musical performance came in Camelot at the Compass Rose Theater in Annapolis, MD, in 2016. She directed and accompanied other Broadway musicals at Compass Rose, A Chorus Line in 2018, and Man of La Mancha in 2019. Sangah is the pianist and Music Director at Community of Grace Church in Catonsville, MD. She has more than 60,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel. She makes videos for performance, education, and entertainment which can be found at
http://www.YouTube.com/SangahNoona. Ms. Noona’s performance will include music from many genres, including jazz, classical, and pop.
Tickets will go on sale for $10.00 in all dining areas from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17.
