CONNECT with your neighbors, CREATE joy and beauty, and CONTRIBUTE positivity to our community. May is Active Aging Month, and we hope you’ll join us for events throughout the month that will offer opportunities to CONNECT, CREATE, and CONTRIBUTE.
On May 8 from 1-3pm in the TNC Celebrations Room, there will be a MyErickson Information Session that will show you how to update your MyErickson profile with a photo, contact information, interests, and more, to better CONNECT with your neighbors. A Drum Circle on May 20 at 1pm will have you CONNECT with the rhythm and enjoy time with your friends. Sign up for the drum circle by calling Maria Aghguiguian at 301-572-8392 – limited space available.
Community Resources is hosting a Paint Night on May 24 from 4-6pm in the MST Craft Studio for residents to CREATE beautiful art and have a fun night with friends. Sign up by calling Libby Rodriguez at 301-572-8449 – limited space available. And Resident Services will do a talk about positivity, to CREATE smiles at Riderwood, on May 29 at 1pm in the MST Classroom.
The Wellness team will host a talk by Jeff Hughes, a lifestyle coach, who will teach you how to CONTRIBUTE to healthy living, on May 29 at 10:30am in the VSQ Classroom.
May is also a great time to CONTRIBUTE to the Benevolent Care Fund by participating in the upcoming Tea Party fundraiser. Volunteer to help sell tickets, create and decorate. Don’t forget to buy tickets for this fun event. Call Philanthropy to do so – 301-572-8396.
