The time immediately following the death of a loved one is a difficult time. In the midst of feelings of shock, grief, sadness, and maybe even anger, surviving loved ones are simultaneously tasked with any number of administrative or organizational chores related to the death of their family member or friend. This period can be stressful and difficult, as none of us can specifically plan for those final weeks, days or moments.
However, grieving family members of Riderwood residents are not alone. As a community, several of our departments work together to support and assist family members after the death of a loved one. The program, titled Planning Now for Life Ahead, aims to educate residents and their families about the existing processes, as well as to introduce key players on the team supporting grieving families and loved ones.
The resident services/social work team invites you to join us for a presentation of this program on Tuesday, March 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Lakeside Commons Encore Theater. A panel consisting of representatives from resident services, finance, security, and pastoral ministries will talk about the processes and answer audience questions. The event will also be televised and re-broadcast on Riderwood TV.
