Co-Chair, Riderwood Health Forum
Riderwood resident Dr. Guillermo Olivos, M.D., a practicing psychiatrist, will give an interactive presentation on Neurocognitive Disorders (Dementias) at the Riderwood Health Forum, in the Village Square Music Room at 12:00 noon Friday, February 15, 2019. All are invited to attend.
Dr. Olivos and his wife, Alice Jean, have resided at Riderwood since 2010, but in 2014 it
became necessary for Alice to move to Arbor Ridge. Dr. Olivos graduated from the University of San Marcos and San Fernando School of Medicine in Peru and specialized in psychiatry and psychophysiological research at institutions in Florida, Maryland, and Kansas. He is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. In his personal time, Dr. Olivos enjoys writing and dancing.
For the past 25 years, he has been working mainly in the area of Multicultural Psychiatry. His family’s personal experience with dementia, in addition to his wide array of experience in university, state, and federal hospitals, as well as private institutions, gives him unique insight into the concerns of those caring for loved ones with dementia.
