Travel Talks to resume in September

By Don Messersmith
Coordinator, Riderwood Travel Talks

On September 16, we will begin a new season of the Sunday evening Travel Talks. These talks by Riderwood residents who have traveled to interesting places all over the world are presented in the Encore Theater in Lakeside Commons at 7:30 p.m. every first and third Sunday from September through May.

Several of the illustrated talks will be given by world travelers Bill Boyd, David and Marketa Ebert, Charles Wurster and Don Messersmith. However, we are looking for other residents who have traveled somewhere and have slides, videos, DVDs or CDs of their trip and are willing to share their experiences with our audiences.

If you have been to someplace in this country or virtually anywhere in the world and have pictures to illustrate your trip, please call the coordinator, Don Messersmith, at 301-890-1952 to discuss what you can offer.

Watch for the new announcements in flyers on all the club house bulletin boards, in the Riderwood Reporter, and on the Riderwood TV and webpage.
