Flag Day is a patriotic American holiday, celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the Flag of the United States. Here at Riderwood, we celebrate Flag Day every year, led by our Veterans Legacy Group and Administration. Join us on Thursday, June 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the Flag Pole outside of Village Square or at 2:30 p.m. in the Arbor Ridge Garden Room to celebrate our Stars and Stripes. We’ll have an invocation by Rev. James Bell, a welcome from our Veterans Legacy Group, the Proclamation of Flag Day, Call to Colors, and a Raising of the Flag. Also hear the Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, and participate in a sing-a-long.
Riderwood will also host the Greenbelt Concert Band on Monday, June 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the Montgomery Station Maryland Hall. Seating is on a first come first served basis. Come out to celebrate Flag Day at Riderwood and see our Flag flying high!
