GraceNotes to ring in spring on May 10

By Ray Roth
Director, The Riderwood GraceNotes

The GraceNotes announces its spring 2018 concert with the musical theme “It’s Spring!” Two performances will be given, both in the Riderwood Chapel: Thursday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. and Friday, May 11, at 3:30 p.m.  Doors open a half hour before the concerts.  Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted, and amounts over the GraceNotes’ operating costs are donated to the Riderwood Benevolent Care Fund.

In addition to the program of spring songs by the GraceNotes, a six-member double trio (Thursday) and Riderwood Executive Director Gary Hibbs (Friday) will present two versions of “Edelweiss” from the Sound of Music. Finally, the community will have a chance to join the GraceNotes in celebrating spring in a sing-along segment.

The GraceNotes, Riderwood’s women’s chorus, presents two concerts a year, one in the spring and one for the winter holidays.  The GraceNotes are directed by Ray Roth and accompanied by Elizabeth White.  Residents interested in joining should contact Ray Roth at 301-273-2384 or at
