Local ballet academy brings a love of dance to campus

The Performing Arts Council proudly presents the Akhmedova Ballet Academy for a return performance which will be a Valentine’s Day delight on February 16, 2017 in the Encore Theater at 7:30pm

The Akhmedova Ballet Academy Professional Training Program dancers will bring a variety of classical, contemporary, and folk dances to Riderwood. The love of dance promises to be as stunning and delightful as previous performances.

The Founder and Artistic Director Madame Jacqueline Akhmedova’s professional career of more than 20 years includes principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet in Tashkent, the Munich State Opera, and the Vienna State Opera. After retiring as a professional dancer she started a professional training program and taught extensively. For two years, Madame Akhmedova was ballet master for City Dance Ensemble and the City Dance Conservatory Ballet Program at Strathmore Center for the Arts.

The Akhmedova Ballet Academy is dedicated to providing the finest quality ballet training utilizing the Vaganova Method with personal and artistic mentoring to prepare young talented dancers to become strong and fully developed artists ready to take their places in major dance companies around the world.

Tickets are $5.00 and will be on sale in all dining room lobbies on Monday and Tuesday February 12 and 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. You don’t want to miss this performance!
