Meet the new Community Resources team

Community Resources is excited to introduce our new team! Community Resources (CR) staff assist with resident-run groups and clubs, the PGCC courses, campus-wide events, room bookings, MyErickson, and much more.

Maria Aghguiguian is the new Communities Resources Coordinator in Town Center and looks forward to working and supporting the resident groups and activities. Many of you know Maria from her work in the Dining Department, most recently in Windsor Restaurant. She has been with Riderwood for 12 years. Maria graduated from the University of Maryland, Smith School of Business, with a degree in Business Management. Her email is and phone number is 301-572-8392. Maria recently got married and is changing her name to Koseian.

Libby (Elisabeth) Bernstein is the new Community Resources Coordinator in Montgomery Station. Previously she worked as a Memory Care Coordinator on the Johns Hopkins MIND at Home research study.  Libby graduated from the University of Delaware with a major in Psychology and minor in Human Development/Family Studies. She looks forward to continuing to get to know all of the residents and to help facilitate the PGCC courses. Her email is and her phone number is 301-572-8449.

Amanda Hixenbaugh is the Community Resources Coordinator at Lakeside Commons. She has been with Riderwood for 3 years, starting out with the Catering Department and joining the CR team in February of this year. Amanda moved to Maryland in 2013 from California where she worked in Restaurant Management and Event Planning. As a member of the Arts Council of Riderwood, she helped facilitate the new art gallery openings in LSC and MST. Amanda is eager to learn and grow within her new role and help bring new and exciting events to Riderwood. Amanda can be reached at or 301-572-8458.

Amy has worked at Riderwood for 7 years, starting at Riderwood TV and joining the CR team in 2014. She is excited to continue her work with Community Resources and help lead a wonderful team! Amy also recently got married so keep an eye out for her new name as well – Amy Hahn!

Community Resources has big plans for our future, such as updating the room booking system, improving our activities calendars, and organizing the craft rooms. The Community Resources team looks forward to meeting our residents and neighbors in our respective neighborhoods, connecting with our resident group leaders, and becoming an integral part of the Riderwood family!
