When it’s too hot to exercise outdoors, you can keep in shape and have fun playing table tennis in the Lakeside Wellness Studio. Regardless of whether you’re new to the game or haven’t played in years, the most important trait you need is a willingness to try and laugh with others.
Since games are only played for fun, scores are not recorded and there are no competitive ladders. Residents occasionally play staff members and outside groups. All necessary equipment is provided—tables, balls, and paddles. Players meet each Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
All are welcome to come any time we are playing. Newcomers are especially encouraged to come during the week of June 5 to try out the practice tables, experience the fun, and learn from our members who span a wide range in experience and age.
