Riderwood’s mission is “sharing our gifts to create a community that celebrates life. It is with great pleasure and heartfelt thanks that staff acknowledge our dedicated volunteers during National Volunteer Week. Many Riderwood Residents volunteer here on the Riderwood campus, while others have represented Riderwood in the local community. How fortunate we are to have over 850 dedicated and talented volunteers.

On Friday, April 28th, the traditional Riderwood Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon has been planned.

All Riderwood Resident Volunteers will be receiving an invitation to the event. Resident Volunteers can attend anytime between 11:30 am-1:30 pm in MD Hall. Each resident will receive their 2016 pin for their service. Pins will also be delivered to volunteer resident cubbies, for those who are unable to attend the event.

This year’s theme is Rolling out the Red Carpet for our Superstar Volunteers….Hollywood stars will be present, and surprise entertainment is planned. Resident volunteers do not need to RSVP for the event. A special activity in each community during that week is also planned.
