It’s almost time to register for Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) SAGE Spring trimester courses. Spring classes run from February 13th through May 26th, 2017. Catalogs for the Spring trimester will be available at the front desks on Monday, January 23. On-site registration assistance is one day only on Tuesday, February 7th from 10am-5pm (with a break from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm) in both the Lakeside and Village Square Computer Labs. A registration fee of $75 allows you to take up to 10 courses. Online registration opens on the same day, Tuesday, February 7th.

Learn about the fun and interesting classes you can take through the PGCC program; come out to our new PGCC Showcase on Tuesday, January 31st from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Montgomery Station Maryland Hall. There will be table displays of many classes, performances from students and teachers, and information on how and when to register. Talk to our Continuing Education Committee, the residents who organize the PGCC program for Riderwood! Learn more about what they do and how to join them. This will be a fantastic event to find out more about the PGCC program and what classes are offered.

The catalog will list several new classes as well as many old favorites. The first section of the catalog provides complete instructions for registration. Most importantly, if you have never taken a PGCC class, you first need to get a PGCC Student ID number and after that a username and password to register. If you are a returning student, you already have these, but you should verify that they are still current by going to Owl Link and signing into your account. If you are, you will get a “Welcome” screen. If your credentials do not work, you should call the PGCC Help Desk (301) 546- 0637.

It is advisable to get your PGCC Student ID number, user name, and password well before the February 7th registration date. If you have an email address and are comfortable using a computer, you can get all this information online by going to and clicking on Owl Link. For others, this is a two-step process:

  1. Call the PGCC SAGE Program Office (301 546-0982) to request a Student ID number. Be prepared to leave a voicemail with your full name, address, phone number, and date of birth.
  2. Call the PGCC Help Desk (301) 546-0637 to get a username and temporary password for Owl Link. They will ask for your PGCC Student ID number and then issue your username and temporary password— which must be written exactly as they are given to you. Or you can do this step yourself online by signing into the PGCC website at Click on Owl Link and follow the directions there.

WRITE DOWN AND SAVE your PGCC student ID number, your username and password, and put them somewhere safe. You can use them again for all future PGCC registrations. HELP IS AVAILABLE!
